Dear Editor,
Democratic candidate for Governor and former Clinton administration Labor Secretary Robert Reich deserves the respect of BU students despite having to cancel a speech recently (see “Reich Stands Up College Democrats”). Reich’s plans to create education trust funds, offer college opportunity loans, and expand community college programs for those that cannot afford a four year college are the best of any candidate.
Reich is the only candidate with a background in the collegiate world, as current professor at Brandies and previously having taught at Harvard. He brings true intellectual vigor into the world of politics. This, combined with a strongly pro-student philosophy, makes Robert Reich the best candidate for any college student to vote for.
On election day, please remember that campaigns are busy and hectic. Please don’t forget what Reich stands for and what he can do for us. There’s a reason why Reich is a leading candidate and has been endorsed by other colleges’ student newspapers. Lets not allow the College Democrats’ fued to get in the way of the facts.
