Former Clinton administration Labor Secretary and Democratic candidate for Governor Robert Reich deserves the respect of Boston University students, despite having to cancel a speech recently (“Reich Stands Up College Democrats,” Sept. 13, pg. 1). Reich’s plans to create education trust funds, offer college opportunity loans and expand community college programs for those that cannot afford a four-year college are the best of any candidate.
Reich is the only candidate with a background in the collegiate world. He is a current professor at Brandeis, after holding previous positions at Harvard. He brings true intellectual vigor into the world of politics. This, combined with a strongly pro-student philosophy, makes Robert Reich the best candidate for any college student to vote for.
On Election Day, please remember that campaigns are busy and hectic. Please don’t forget what Reich stands for and what he can do for us. There’s a reason Reich is a leading candidate and has been endorsed by other colleges’ student newspapers. Lets not allow the College Democrats’ feud to get in the way of the facts.
