This is in reference to Matt Baram’s perspective (“Some simple changes to make BU students’ lives better,” Sept. 27, p. 5). When I read your article, I was shocked. For those who missed it, Baram believes Boston University should allot a portion of our tuition to double-quilted toilet paper and soft umbrellas.
I understand allotting $25 of everyone’s tuition to comfort and satisfaction but not for such minor issues as toilet paper and ridiculous umbrellas.
There are many more serious issues on campus to spend roughly $400,000 on rather than two-ply toilet paper.
Perhaps you were trying to be funny. Instead, you wasted a lot of money in paper and ink. I think you need to wake up and take a look at the more pertinent issues here on campus.
