I just wanted to voice my strong support for the views expressed by Caroline Linton in her recent article regarding Bush Administration policies on abortion. The efforts of the right wing to restrict women’s choice have never had a more effective hatchet man than Dubya Bush. The latest regulations only further what can properly be characterized as a “lunatic fringe” that truly does see women as mere receptacles, and completely overlook the fact that a woman’s body is her own, to do with as she sees fit. We all agree that abortion should not be taken lightly. It is not simply a convenient form of birth control. But it is a decision a woman must make for herself, and the Bush push to take that right away from millions of women can only strike fear in the hearts of anyone, male or female, who believes in the freedoms on which this Country was founded. I applaud Caroline Linton for telling it like it is.
