The purpose of Senate Bill No. 737 is to establish a Campus Sexual Assault and Rape Advisory Council at every college in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. This bill will provide funding to schools, including Boston University, to expand the resources available to victims of sexual assault.
Unfortunately, the bill has nothing to do with the creation of a sexual assault amnesty program. However, the Union is by no means ignoring this issue. We are actively investigating how to go about creating such a policy by reaching out to administrators, legislators and other colleges with amnesty programs in place.
