THREE CHEERS FOR THE FIRST AMENDMENT

I fully support Jeff Wattenhofer’s right to refute my opinion, and I think he made some very good points.

I wish he felt the same way. Throughout his letter, he not only picked apart my arguments, but claimed that I didn’t have the right to make them. Shut up…and eat your damn burrito,” says Jeff. Well Jeff, I will not tell you the same thing. Continue to write, continue to disagree. The framers of our Constitution made sure you could.

In response to one of your points, regarding landfills, I believe: I think that it’s perfectly reasonable to expect workers to change their gloves when they touch something dirty, and I think that if food safety regulations were followed more closely they wouldn’t get dirty very often. And why shouldn’t I be afraid of flu-like symptoms? If people aren’t afraid of the flu, why is Health Services selling vaccines at 20 bucks a pop?
