In response to Wednesday’s Letter to the Editor, I have one thing to say to Michael Figa: You’re sick. Absolutely sick. Reading your letter made me sick to my stomach. You say that “[you] do not advocate suicide bombing” but would “take [your] own life in an effort to be heard.” You think Israel is full of hypocrisy? Sounds like you’re full of it. You think suicide bombers “have a respect for human life?” That’s the most insane thing I’ve ever heard.
In writing this, I’m not saying I agree with everything Israel does, because I don’t. Any loss of innocent life is a horrible thing, and innocent women and children being killed isn’t right at all. But there is a war going on, and unfortunately, innocent people do die. What probably disturbs me the most about your rant is that you… well, let me just quote it and you can see how crazy you look.
“The Jews haven’t forgotten the Holocaust. No, they have vowed to return the injustice to an unconnected party.” You think that Israel (actually, you only said Jews, so by that you must mean every Jewish person on the face of the earth. Sounds like you’re a little racist… there’s the hypocrisy thing again.) defending itself against suicide bombers is a response to the Holocaust? Where do you even get that from? I’m having trouble understanding what’s happening in your twisted mind.
Sept. 11 wouldn’t have occurred if Israel wasn’t around? Where’s the connection? Once again, I’m missing it. Didn’t terrorists attack the US? Not Israel? Think about what you’re trying to say before you express your view. I seriously hope you re-consider your view. Everyone is entitled to his opinion, but in your case, you’re just wrong.
Have a good day, and make sure you’re by yourself when you want to “make yourself heard.”
