The following were taken from last week’s Allston-Brighton District 14 crime logs.
A 1998 Audi A4 Quattro was reportedly stolen from the Autobahn USA car dealership in Brighton at 3:45 p.m. last Thursday.
Officers responding to the call spotted the vehicle traveling east on Cambridge Street and stopping at a red light. When the suspect, Carter Thomas, 24, of 62 Bower St. in Roxbury, noticed the Boston Police vehicle stopping beside him, he allegedly exited the car and attempted to enter a parked car operated by a second suspect, Kimberly Simon, 22, of 168 River St. in Mattapan.
When Thomas found the door locked, he reportedly ran off across the Cambridge Street Bridge toward Cambridge, chased by an officer commanding him to stop. Meanwhile, officers secured both vehicles and detained Simon for arrest.
After a brief foot chase, Thomas was arrested for larceny of a motor vehicle and was given a citation for his revoked license. Simon also received citations for operating an unregistered car without insurance.
Six officers and a state police trooper reportedly observed Thomas entering the walkway of an apartment building on Memorial Drive in Cambridge. While watching surveillance tapes to obtain evidence, officers observed Thomas allegedly trying to escape the premises.
The stolen car was returned to the dealership with no damage, and Simon’s car was towed.
A routine response to a complaint of loud music led to two arrests Sunday at 147 Kelton St. in Brighton.
After receiving a 911 call at 3:50 a.m., officers arrived at the apartment and allegedly knocked 10 times. Receiving no response, the officers entered and requested the tenant, Kasie Yerks, 30, turn the music off. Yerks reportedly yelled obscenities at the officers, ordering them to leave her apartment.
The second suspect, Melissa Plourde, 29, of New Britain, Conn., and three other unidentified guests allegedly joined Yerks and continued to yell and curse at the officers.
After Yerks refused a final offer to turn down the music, officers placed her under arrest. Plourde reportedly attempted to push the officers and pull Yerks away from them.
While waiting outside for the prisoner transport wagon, Plourde allegedly approached the officers a second time and demanded either a warrant or Yerks’ release. After reportedly pushing the officers in an aggressive manner, Plourde was arrested.
Both suspects continually threatened officers, saying, “You’re going to be sorry.” Later, the two were uncooperative and disrespectful at the booking office, according to police reports. They were transported to the Suffolk County House of Correction Nashua Street Jail.
Police arrived at the Avenue Bar at 1249 Commonwealth Ave. in Brighton at 1:01 a.m. Sunday, responding to a call of assault. Witnesses reported that Marcus Paes, 25, of 221 Pleasant St. in Brookline, allegedly smashed a glass bottle off the side of a victim’s head while walking up the stairs.
The victim said he did not know the suspect and did not speak with him before he was struck.
Officers arrested Paes for assault and battery with a deadly weapon and transferred him to the District 14 station for booking. The victim was taken to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for stitches.
A Brighton man reported he was assaulted and robbed at knifepoint while entering his Brighton apartment at 12:04 a.m. last Wednesday.
The victim claimed he was entering his apartment at 52 Glenville Ave. when he was approached by two unknown suspects. The suspects then allegedly pushed him against the wall, holding what he believed to be a knife against his back.
Threatening to cut the victim, one suspect demanded the victim’s wallet, and both suspects fled the scene upon receiving it. The wallet reportedly contained $150, as well as credit cards and personal papers.
One suspect was described as a 19-year-old male with a dark, hooded sweatshirt. The description was broadcast over the police radio, but the suspect was not found. There was no description of the other suspect.
