Silber doesn’t have to hurt donations

Alright. I’m a senior now and nothing has changed. I still hate Johnny-Boy Silber, and I blame him for the overall lack of community at this university. His policies are even more old and outdated than he is. I can’t believe that if anyone knew he covered up cases of rape and actively attempts to prevent campus unity they would still choose to enroll here. I know I wouldn’t have.

I could continue my tirade, but I think everyone gets the gist of how I feel about him. Regardless of my feelings for John, I still have some school spirit, but I scoffed at Alumni Relations’ attempts to put the squeeze on even before I’ve graduated.

This spawned my greatest genius yet. I want to create a charity, or fund, or whatever it is that would be appropriate so that people could donate money to the school. The trick would be that the money would be held in an account until such a time that Silber is no longer with us. Take that to mean dead or at least not affiliated with Boston University.

Now some will be appalled by this, but I’m serious. I think there would be at least a million in the account before he kicks the bucket. Contracts with the devil tend to grant long life.

I’ve had a good time in college despite John’s attempts to squelch the child within me. Hopefully I won’t need to follow through on this, and he will leave the school soon and voluntarily, but I won’t hold my breath.
