Campus Crime Logs: Unholy Hoodlums

The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department crime logs from Oct. 12 to Oct. 18.

BUPD responded to a break and entry in the basement of Marsh Chapel on Tuesday. Two basement offices were broken into sometime between Oct. 11 at 11 p.m. and Oct. 12 at 7 a.m. Nothing appeared stolen, but a glass windowpane valued at $1,000 was broken.

So You Think You Can Steal?

On Oct. 12, a female student who was working at Agganis Arena for the “So You Think You Can Dance” concert said she left her iPod and digital camera in an unlocked locker from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. When she returned to the locker after work, the items were gone.

Hey, Dirty, baby I got your money

On the evening of Oct. 13, an employee outside of 621 Commonwealth Ave. was approached by a man who said he had recently been released from jail and was looking for money. The employee replied that he did not have any money and went away for about five minutes. When he returned, he noticed that someone had smashed the building’s glass pane.

Laptop- palooza

On Thursday Oct. 14, a burglary was reported on 853 Beacon St. BUPD said that four laptop computers and some loose change were taken between 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 13 and 5:45 a.m. on Oct. 14.

Vodka n’ time

On Friday at 9 p.m., two plain-clothed officers stopped two BU students for possession of alcohol as minors at 100 St. Mary’s St. The officers reported that the students looked “youthful.” They were carrying two large bottles of vodka.
