The following reports were taken from the Allston-Brighton District D-14 crime logs from Nov. 30 to Dec. 5, 2011.
Annoyed Neighbor
At 4:50 a.m. last Friday, officers responded to a call regarding a disturbance at 153 Brighton Ave. in Allston. Calls had been made on this residence two times prior on the same day, and officers had responded both times. Upon arrival, the caller stated that she placed the third call on an apartment near hers. The officers had already given the resident of the apartment, a 21-year-old female, a warning on their first visit and a $100 city ordinance violation for disturbing the peace on their second visit. Officers then issued another city ordinance violation for $200. Officers forced all extra parties staying inside the apartment to leave. The details of the violation and complaint were not specified.
Something’s missing
On Friday, officers responded to a radio call for a breaking and entering reported at 320 Washington St. in Brighton at 11:30 a.m. The caller, a male with American Ambulance, stated that one of his employees found his ambulance and drug suitcase broken into at 7:30 a.m. while doing inventory. Security footage caught the suspect, but his face was concealed. The suspect stole a variety of drugs and narcotics, including three vials of morphine. A copy of the camera footage was given to detectives for further investigation.
Fishy findings
A female, 20, reported on Friday at 11 p.m. that she left her cellphone inside of a Metro Cab that night. She stated that when she called her phone, a female picked up to tell her that she could pick up her phone at her residence on Sparhawk St. the next day. The female on the phone then retracted that statement and said that the victim’s phone was stolen from her at a party after she found it in the cab. The phone was not recovered and the victim deactivated it.
Late night larceny
On Saturday, officers responded to a radio call at 1 a.m. regarding a man who reported being robbed by two males while walking by 30 Penniman Rd. in Allston. Upon arrival, the 35-year-old victim told officers that one suspect approached him to ask what time it was. As he took out his cellphone, the second suspect approached, stated he had a gun and told the victim to hand him his cellphone and his money. After stealing his $80 and Blackberry, the suspects told the victim to walk in the direction of Hano Street. The suspects fled toward Braintree Street. The victim told officers he has bad vision at night, and could not give a good description of the suspects.
