The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department crime logs from Jan. 30 to Feb. 5.
On Jan. 30, three students working at Metcalf Science Center, located at 590 Commonwealth Ave., reported that sometime between 2:15 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., various items they had been storing in unlocked lockers in Room 268 were stolen.

A female student left her Tiffany & Co. watch in the second floor women’s restroom in the George Sherman Union, located at 775 Comm. Ave., on Feb. 1 at about 5:30 p.m. After realizing she had left the watch in the restroom, she returned 30 minutes later to find it had been taken.
You’ve got mail
BUPD launched a general investigation Feb. 2 at 3:43 p.m. when a student taking an online course through the Metropolitan College reported he was being harassed with unwanted emails after having a disagreement with his online professor. The student has not identified the person that has been sending the harassing emails to police.
Making bank
A female student reported Feb. 2 at 3:46 p.m. that €1,400, equivalent to about $1,839, had been charged to her credit card, which was linked to an account at a bank in China. The student said the fraudulent charges occurred sometime that morning.
Tapped out
A male student residing at Warren Towers, located at 700 Comm. Ave., informed police on Feb. 4 at 2:17 p.m. that his roommate was recording their arguments on a cell phone, a violation of Massachusetts wiretapping law. The law requires both parties to consent to any recording of conversations. No charges have been pressed yet, but the case is being handled by BU’s Judicial Affairs.
