Campus Crime Logs: Dec. 1 to Dec. 7

The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department from Dec. 1 to Dec. 7.

Harassing phone calls

An employee reported receiving a series of annoying phone calls from the same unknown individual at about 10 a.m. on Dec. 1 at 595 Commonwealth Ave.

Credit card fraud

Two female students reported credit card fraud on Dec. 3 at about 3 p.m. at 700 Comm. Ave. The stolen amount totaled several hundred dollars, though neither student lost possession of their card.

Unaffiliated female in Mugar Memorial Library

Officers were dispatched to 771 Comm. Ave. at about 10 p.m. on Dec. 3 for a 19-year-old non-affiliated woman soliciting on the first floor of Mugar Memorial Library. Officers met up with the female, who was issued a warning and removed from the property.

Damaged door on Bay State Road

At about 11 a.m. on Dec. 3, an employee reported finding a damaged lock on the door of Room 203 at 147 Bay State Road. Although nothing was stolen, it appeared that unknown individuals might have entered.

Stolen laundry

An 18-year-old female student reported at about 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 4 that her laundry, which was delivered by a laundry service, was missing at 512 Beacon St. She was unsure whether it was stolen from the lobby or not.

Harassment at Mugar Memorial Library

Security reported that a 24-year-old male non-affiliate harassed a female student at 771 Comm. Ave. on Dec. 4 at about 4:30 p.m. The suspect was removed from the building and issued a trespassing warning.

Broken windshields

An 18-year-old male student reported that the windshield of his car was broken while it was parked in the rear of the building at 212 Bay State Road Friday at about 2:30 a.m.

Female student argues with boyfriend

A 22-year-old student reported that she had an argument with her 21-year-old boyfriend, who took a cell phone and pushed her while leaving 504 Park Dr. on Friday at about 10 a.m.

Female student victim of fraud

A 23-year-old female student reported on Friday from 595 Comm. Ave. that a male who claimed to work for the IRS called her at about 2 p.m. earlier that day. The caller told the victim that if she did not send him money, she would be arrested. The victim sent $1,200 dollars to the suspect.

Items stolen from room

Two 19-year-old male students reported that an unknown individual broke into their room at 275 Babcock St. Friday at about 5:30 p.m. The victims reported that a flat screen television, a laptop and $350 had been taken.

Attempted burglary

An employee reported a possible break-in on the third floor ramp door at 808 Comm. Ave. on Saturday at about 1 p.m. Nothing was reported missing, but it appeared that someone may have attempted to break into the door.

Intoxicated male BU student

An 18-year-old male student was found intoxicated in his room at 275 Babcock St. on Sunday at about midnight. BUPD called Emergency Medical Services. When officers arrived, the student began to assault the ambulance personnel. BUPD arrested him and transported him to the BUPD station for booking. He was charged for assaulting male and female technicians.

Student assaulted

A 21-year-old female student reported that her boyfriend, also a BU student, assaulted her in the George Sherman Union at about 1 p.m. on Sunday. The victim declined to press any charges.
