City crime logs: Feb. 5-6

The following crime reports were taken from the Boston Police Department crime logs from Feb. 5-6.  

Direct deposit identity theft

A victim reported on Monday afternoon that their personal information had been used by an unknown person to change the victim’s employment direct deposit checks of $1,400 to a different account.

Building fire investigated

Police used forced entry to enter an apartment where a fire was occurring from food burning on a stove on Cambridge Street around 8:30 p.m. Monday. The owners were not home at the time.

Hospital escape

Officers responded to a report at St. Elizabeth Medical Center of an eloped patient around 7:26 p.m. Monday night. The patient had checked themself in and a struggle ensued when they attempted to leave. The patient left, but forgot their wallet.
