Boston University’s Student Activities Office and Student Government announced Thursday night in an email that the location of the spring concert, 802.1, was moving from the Fitness and Recreation Center to the BU Beach.
According to the email, SAO and SG were informed by the Boston Fire Department Wednesday that capacity estimates for the concert, given originally by a “fire protection engineering and code consultant,” were inaccurate.
The show was moved, the email stated, “in order to make sure everyone who purchased a ticket can enjoy Amine.”
SG President Devin Harvin declined to comment on the matter.
Doors to the concert open at 8:30 p.m Friday.
