GALLERY: Boston University South East Asian student clubs host Across the SEA event

Four Boston University South East Asian cultural student clubs organized the first “Across the SEA” event held April 10 in the George Sherman Union Back Court. The event allowed BU students to visit booths to learn about different countries and collect stamps in makeshift passports to receive free traditional South East Asian food. The event also included a raffle where AirPod Pros and two Polaroid cameras were given away as prizes.

A beloved game across South East Asia is “five stones,” which the Singapore Students Association had at its booth during the Across the SEA cultural event April 10. It is played by throwing one “stone” in the air, then picking up another from the ground and catching the first stone with the same hand. It is played until you accumulate all five stones in one hand. CLARE ONG/DFP STAFF
