My roommate and I can’t stand each other. No matter how hard I try to be nice or talk things out, we can’t seem to get along. What should I do?

Dear Perplexed,
No matter how nice you are, there will always be some people who just don’t like you. It often has nothing to do with you, so don’t take it personally. Always be cordial, but if it becomes unbearable, you can always fill out a room change request on the BU housing portal.

When I was in college, I had a roommate who would always steal my food. So one day, I took all of his things and sold them on eBay — not that I recommend that.
