Campus Crime Logs: Jan. 28 — Feb. 2

The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department’s crime logs from Jan. 28 — Feb. 2.

Bicyclist Struck at 855 Commonwealth Ave.

A caller reported at 4:52 p.m. on Jan. 28 that a person riding a scooter struck the side of a car. The Boston Police Department arrived on the scene and the party was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center via EMS.

Suspicious Person at 665 Commonwealth Ave. 

At 10:17 p.m. on Jan. 30, it was reported that a possible suspicious party was in an elevator at the Center for Computing and Data Science. 

Suicide Including Threat or Attempt at 33 Harry Agganis Way. 

A caller reported at 7:48 a.m. on Jan. 31 that a person may have been harming themselves. Armstrong EMS was notified. 

Active Fire at 60 Bay State Rd. 

A caller reported at 3:51 p.m. on Jan. 31 that an item caught on fire in their room. After putting out the fire, the party noticed there was still smoke and notified the Boston Fire Department. 

Assist Other Policy Agency at 77 Chiswick Rd.

At 12:20 a.m. on Feb. 1, BPD removed students from the property and notified BUPD. There was not enough information to determine the reason for removal and the scene was cleared.

Motor Vehicle Accident with Injuries at Carlton St. and Commonwealth Ave.

At 9:53 p.m. on Jan. 30, BUPD witnessed a motor vehicle accident while assisting with a separate paper exchange.

Protestors at a Public Demonstration at 890 Commonwealth Ave. 

Staff reported at 8:07 p.m. on Feb. 1 that a group of protestors were causing disturbances inside WBUR CitySpace. 

Trespass at 32 Harry Agganis Way.

At 1:05 p.m. on Feb. 2, BUPD arrived on scene to make a test arrest for booking review. 

Open Door at 24 Buswell St.

At 8:31 p.m. on Feb. 2, BU Facilities reported that they required assistance opening a door because of water issues in the back of the property. 

Harassment at 72 Gardner St. 

Residents reported at 4:15 p.m. on Feb. 2 that other tenants in the building have been harassing them. BPD arrived on the scene. 

Elevator Entrapment at 275 Babcock St. 

Security reported at 8:31 p.m. on Feb. 2 that a party was trapped in the building’s elevator on the eighth floor. Otis elevator services arrived on scene and removed all parties from the elevator.
