The following were taken from the Allston/Brighton crime logs.
Five Boston University students allegedly hosted a disruptive party Saturday night, which was reportedly attended by underage persons.
College of Fine Arts students Jillian Dy and Adrien Yorozu, College of General Studies students Lark Guerin and Claire Ferrante and College of Communication student Emily Scott, all of 36 Brainerd Rd. in Brighton, will be summoned to Brighton District Court for the incident.
Officers responded to a complaint of a loud party and people throwing snowballs at passing cars at 12:15 a.m. on Mar. 2. When police arrived, they observed many people in front, on the side and on the second floor of the house. Officers reportedly entered the residence and turned off the music. They asked to speak to the residents, and Guerin said she was a resident. After the police allegedly found alcoholic beverages, including wine jugs and a keg, in the home, Guerin reportedly ran out the front door and did not return.
Officers reportedly cleared about 50 people out of the residence. Ferrante then identified herself as a resident of the property. Dy and Yorozu were later found hiding in a bedroom with two other people. Scott was not found at the time.
FIT TO A PEE
A Mansfield man was arrested for public urination outside of the Allston/Brighton Police Station at 2:30 a.m. on Mar. 2.
Officers noticed a small traffic jam in front of the station. When they investigated, they saw everyone looking at Greg A. Kiernan, 24, of 284 Central St. in Mansfield, who was allegedly urinating next to the steps of the station.
When Kiernan was approached by officers, he reportedly said he was ‘just airing it out.’
Kiernan was arrested for disorderly conduct and ‘open and gross lewdness.’
There is a public restroom just inside the door of the station.
MOVE IT OR LOSE IT
A Brighton woman was arrested for disorderly conduct while protesting outside of Planned Parenthood, 1055 Commonwealth Ave., at about 7:50 a.m. on Mar. 1.
While serving a fixed post outside the clinic, Officer Pamela Besold allegedly observed Sheryl Ann Fitzpatrick, 43, of 28 Kelly Ct. in Brighton, and two other individuals handing out ‘small pieces of paper,’ videotaping and calling out to people entering the clinic.
Besold reportedly told the protestors twice to move away from the door so people could enter and exit the building freely. The other people moved, but Fitzgerald allegedly told Besold, ‘I don’t have to (move), the law has changed.’ Besold reportedly told Fitzpatrick the law did not change and she would be arrested if she did not move.
Fitzpatrick allegedly told Besold she could arrest her. Fitzpatrick was arrested and was reportedly uncooperative during booking.
SALT-N-PEPPER
Police used pepper spray to subdue a Brighton man who resisted arrest for disorderly conduct and a ‘noisy house.’
Officers responded to complaints of loud music at 51 Colborne St., Apt. B2 in Brighton at about 3:10 a.m. on Mar. 1. The residence is reportedly ‘known to police officers for prior disturbance instances.’
Officers reportedly knocked on the door for five minutes until it was finally opened by Michael J. Glennon, 24, a resident of the apartment. Glennon reportedly argued ‘belligerently’ with officers, denied he was playing music and told them, ‘You the ones causing the problem.’
Glennon allegedly refused to be handcuffed and ran away from the officers into the back of the apartment. Alex Montes, 25, of 171 Lamartine St. in Jamaica Plain and David Martins, 22, of 11 Annapolis St. in Dorchester, then allegedly joined the argument and yelled at the officers, telling them to leave the apartment.
According to reports, Glennon was warned he would be sprayed with pepper spray if he continued to resist arrest. Because officers feared for their safety and the safety of the other suspects, they issued a ‘one second burst’ of pepper spray. Glennon was handcuffed and taken into custody by backup units that had arrived at the scene.
Montes was arrested after a ‘violent struggle’ and an attempt to hit an officer. He reportedly had a minor bruise on his left cheek at the time of booking. Glennon was treated for exposure to pepper spray. Martins was not arrested.
