The man reportedly was found behind the door.

Boston Emergency Medical Technician Robert Wilson pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The death is under investigation.

JUST PASSING THROUGH

An unknown assailant allegedly broke into a Brighton woman’s house March 13 and threw her to the ground.

The woman reportedly hit her head on a glass coffee table while falling down.

Officers found the woman lying on the floor unresponsive but breathing.

The woman told police she heard someone fidgeting with the rear basement door and ran upstairs to call police. It is believed that the assailant saw her on the phone and pushed her down.

According to a police report, the back door had been forced open and the suspect fled out the front door, which officers found open.

The woman said she was unable to determine if anything was missing. She refused medical treatment.

LET’S WRASSLE!

A Brighton man was arrested for assault and battery March 11 after allegedly wrestling a traffic enforcement officer.

The officer was issuing citations to vehicles outside a bar when the owner of a Corvette he had ticketed, along with a companion, confronted the officer.

The owner of the car allegedly told the officer he would pay the ticket.

The other man reportedly verbally assaulted the officer, at one point going “nose to nose” with him.

The suspect reportedly said, “I hope you choke on the next burger you eat.”

He then allegedly pushed the officer, who did not respond. According to a report, the suspect then forced the man to the ground and wrestled him.

After the fight, the manager of the bar reportedly helped the suspect into the bar. The owner of the car allegedly also fled the scene.

When people searched the bar, they did not find the suspect, the report said. The manager told police he had fled down an alley.

Police are investigating the incident.
