Campus Crime Logs: Un-special delivery

<em>The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department crime logs from Sept. 8 - Sept. 13.</em>

On Thursday at 5:30 p.m., a male and female entered the Bertucci's restaurant on 533 Commonwealth Ave., ordered $95 worth of drinks and left the restaurant without paying. A waiter chased the couple outside of the restaurant. When the waiter approached the suspects outside, the male suspect threatened the waiter with a knife. The suspects then fled. The suspects were described as a man in his 40s with salt-and-pepper hair and a brown beard. The woman was described as about 5'7" with red frizzy hair. The case is under investigation.

How You Get All Dem Jeans?

On Thursday, $2,000 worth of designer jeans was reported stolen from Jean Therapy, located on 524 Comm. Ave. The two suspects, a 24-year-old white male and a 30-year-old white female, walked into the store at about 4 p.m. The male grabbed the jeans from the rack and the two then fled in a black SUV waiting outside.

Textcrooks

On Saturday at noon BUPD responded to a report of a robbery at the Barnes &amp;' Noble on 660 Beacon St. The two suspects were reportedly in the textbook section on the fourth floor of the building. One suspect took about four textbooks under his arm and the second suspect held textbooks in a black backpack. When a store security guard asked the suspects what they were doing, they dropped some of the textbooks and ran out of the building into a green Toyota. The car then drove up Comm. Ave. to Deerfield Street before witnesses lost sight of the vehicle. The license plate of the vehicle was recorded and the case is under investigation.

DUST-Urbing the Peace

BUPD arrested a non-affiliate male outside 750 Comm. Ave. for disturbing the peace by releasing a toxic vapor and for being intoxicated in public on Wednesday at 4:50 p.m. The man was found inhaling Dust-Off, a propellant cleaner. The man also had a warrant for failing to appear on different charges in Brookline.
