City Crime Logs: April 15–17

The following crime reports were taken from the Boston Police Department crime logs from April 15–17.

Identity theft through automated call

An individual reported Sunday evening that they received an automated call that connected them to several male voices requesting personal information. The victim was threatened with physical harm if they did not provide the caller with their personal data, which prompted them to give up the information.

Larceny at CVS

A larceny in progress was reported at the CVS at 1266 Commonwealth Ave. Monday night. The suspect, described as a white male wearing a black jacket and blue pants, stole approximately 80 Revlon beauty products before fleeing. Officers searched the area but found nothing.

Fire on Harvard Ave.

Officers responded to a call for a building fire at 74 Harvard Ave. Tuesday night. An occupant started a grease fire while cooking french fries. The fire spread when the occupant tried to extinguish the flames with water. The entire building suffered an estimated $60,000 in water and smoke damages.
