50 years later, AdLab remains an ‘unparalleled’ opportunity for students

For five decades, Boston University’s AdLab course has given students the opportunity to gain experience in a full-service advertising agency setting. Founded in 1974 by professors Walter Lubars and Bob Montgomery, AdLab is the largest student-run advertising agency in the country — and this year it is celebrating its 50 year anniversary.

According to Inside Higher Ed, about half of the 8.2 million students who wanted a summer internship didn’t end up completing one. And that difficulty is proving to be true at Boston University,.

After six years of little to no progress, City Realty sold the lot of 76 Ashford St. to BU this June. Approved by the City of Boston Planning Department, the project by real estate developers, City Realty, will feature 254 residential units and 1,875 square feet of retail space, along with bicycle storage and off-street parking spaces.

Electric Vehicles still too expensive for wider implementation, BU IGS study finds

A recent collaborative study done by BU’s Institute for Global Sustainability and the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory found that lower-cost electric vehicle models and wider charging access are integral for wider EV implementation in the U.S.
