In an news story Friday ('BU officials talk SCOE,' Jan. 30, p. 1), it was implied that Boston University spokesman Colin Riley said the director and staff of the Sargent Center for Outdoor Education were involved in the decision to shut down the center due to an editing error. Metropolitan College Dean Jay Halfond and his staff were involved in the decision instead.

In an editorial Thursday ('A call for peace,' page 6), Gaza was mistakenly referred to as a country, which it is not.' Also, the Palestinian civilian death toll was mistakenly identified as over 1,000.' This is the total number of Palestinians killed.
