BU to update ventilation systems in some buildings as part of COVID-19 preparations

In another move to address COVID-19 concerns on BU’s campus, BU Facilities Management and Operations Staff is working to improve mechanical heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems — referred to as HVAC — in the 120 buildings on campus that have them.

BU's student organizations must hold most events virtually this Fall, according to SAO. Some gatherings can still be held in person, but under strict capacity limits and with furniture fixed in place to ensure social distancing.

Frequent COVID-19 testing to occur through Fall

All students learning in person at BU this Fall will be tested for COVID-19 twice a week and will be required to adhere to the new Massachusetts travel guidance, the University announced Monday in an email to the BU community.
