After winning both the regular season and postseason Patriot League titles, the Boston University men’s soccer team fell 3-1 to reigning national champion Syracuse University in the first round of the NCAA Men’s College Cup on Thursday night.

Though the Boston University women’s soccer team (7-7-6, 4-3-2 Patriot League) fell 3-1 to Bucknell University (12-3-5, 5-1-3 P L) in the Patriot League Semifinals, the Terriers had a notable 29th season. With a nearly even number of wins, losses and ties, 2023 saw exciting games if not unabashed success.

Men’s soccer defeats Loyola 3-1, finishes undefeated at home

Having already clinched a spot in the Patriot League Tournament with last week’s win at Bucknell University, the Boston University men’s soccer team replaced Loyola University Maryland at the top of the league table with one game left in the regular season after defeating them 3-1 on Saturday.
