There are plenty of things that need ironing out, but I’m still open to seeing what else Mulaney has in store. But hopefully, if I decide to call in again, it won’t be a waste of the whole world’s time.
The way of surviving life and situationships is that you have to know that you can’t control someone’s thoughts or actions — you can only control your own. Here are just a few tidbits of advice and lessons I’ve learned that have helped me navigate my experiences with situationships.

Sometimes, we’re looking for something a little different that breaks outside of the mold of the traditional boy-meets-girl tropes and plot beats. So, here are five — actually, seven — Valentine’s Day movies that range from slightly unique to unequivocally odd.
Somewhere along the line, we were sold the idea that romantic love is the ultimate prize and that being single is some kind of failure. We’ve been conditioned to think that if you're not in a relationship, you're somehow incomplete. But, here’s the truth — romantic love is just one kind of love. It’s not the centerpiece of life unless you make it that way. Honestly, that’s a pretty fragile foundation to build your happiness on.
It sucks saying goodbye to your favorite pair of jeans. It sucks saying bye to someone you used to love. But at the end of the day, it’s not a fit — and that’s okay.
An evening out on the town with my closest friends — I love the promise of a night out. Maybe I’ll meet someone or learn something that could alter the trajectory of my life. And what a promise that is.
We all like to believe that regardless of how many romantic partners come and go, our true friends will stick around no matter what. This is why friendship breakups often hurt more than regular breakups. While romance is usually complex, you’d think friendships would be anything but.
At this moment, all I can feel is uneasiness and nostalgia. I always feel this way as summer disappears behind me, vanishing not necessarily with the weather but as a concept only present so long as you acknowledge it.
