I’ll take a hit

The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department crime logs from March 18 to March 25.

A caller reported at 1:31 a.m. March 22 that a man tried to sell him drugs at 41 Ashford St. When the caller said no, the man hit the caller in the face.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HIT THE SNOOZE BUTTON?

A caller reported that a car alarm had been going off every 10 minutes at 10:12 p.m. March 20.’ Officers contacted the owner, who said she would take care of it.

STRIKE THREE, GET OUTTA THERE

A concerned caller reported that students were throwing a baseball against the wall at 3 University Road at 11:36 a.m. March 20. The caller was worried about the parked cars nearby.

SHOT OF LOVE

Officers arrived at the parking lot of Blanchard’s Liquors at 2:23 a.m. March 20 because a caller reported a fight and possible gunshots.

GIVE ME A SIGN

A caller reported two men trying to steal the street sign at the intersection of Ashford and Babcock Streets at 10:51 p.m. March 19, but the suspects were gone when the officers arrived on the scene.

SURPRISE! I CALLED THE COPS

Officers arrived at 718 Commonwealth Ave. to investigate a suspicious man in the bushes outside the Department of Romance Studies on March 18 2:07 p.m.’ The party said he was hiding in the bushes to surprise a friend.’ His story checked out.

I GOT OUT OF BED FOR THAT?

Officers responded to an alarm at 575 Commonwealth Ave. at 8:22 a.m. March 18.’ Officers think a water leak set off the fire alarm.

KNOCK, KNOCK. WHO’S THERE?

A caller reported a suspicious man with a beard and a backpack knocking on doors in the department of administration at 2 Silber Way at 7:33 p.m. March 19.’ Police could not find the man when they arrived.

BIKE BATTLES

Officers responded to a dispute between two people over the ownership of a bicycle at 32 Harry Agganis Way at 7:53 p.m. March 21. One person returned later to claim the bike, but the ownership had not yet been determined.

SKATE HATE

Officers removed five skateboarders from the College of Fine Arts parking lot at 2:29 p.m. on March 21.
