The following reports were taken from the Allston-Brighton District D-14 crime logs from Feb. 27 to March 3.
The owner of a shop in Brighton called police officers after receiving verbal threats on Feb. 28. He said the man who lives above his shop was playing loud music. When he asked the man to lower the volume, the man refused and began to yell at the shop owner and then said, “I’m gonna come back here with some fire power!” Police officers issued the man a no-trespass order and warned him he would be arrested if he entered the shop.
PEEPING TOM
Officers responded to a radio call for assault and battery at an apartment in Allston on March 1. Police spoke to a man who stated another tenant in the apartment assaulted him. He believed the other tenant was taking pictures of the man’s wife through the apartment’s open window. He confronted the neighbor about his voyeuristic behavior, and the other man responded by pushing and punching him. The neighbor said that he was taking pictures of the window for the landlord. Officers advised both men to discuss the matter with their landlord.
SLEEPWALKING STEALER
Officers spotted a robbery suspect in Brighton around 6:20 p.m. Feb. 28. The man robbed a woman at a Shaw’s Supermarket and fled the scene. Officers were able to spot the man easily because of his slumber party garb: a black hooded sweatshirt and plaid pajama pants. As officers approached the thief, he said, “That’s me. I’m the suspect. I took the lady’s wallet. It’s in my pocket.” He was escorted to the police station where the woman who was robbed positively identified him as the robber. Her belongings were returned and the man was arrested.
I WANT TO BREAK FREE
Brighton residents complained about a loud party on March 2. Officers approached and met with the tenants of the apartment where loud music and people screaming could be heard. Officers told tenants to end the party, but they refused. Officers repeated the demand and informed the tenants that refusal would mean arrest. They again refused to end the party and were arrested. The tenants were placed in the police vehicle, and one of the partygoers approached the car. Officers went to the back of the car and found the man trying to open the car door and release the arrested tenants. The partier said he was trying to take pictures of the tenants, but the officers placed him under arrest for aiding an escape.
HEY, NICE OUTFIT
Undercover officers answered an advertisement on Craiglist for an illegal massage service on Feb. 27. An undercover officer, disguised as a school bus driver, met with “Prisilla,” a prostitute wearing a sheer black negligee, at an apartment in Allston. Once he arrived, Prisilla grabbed the officer’s genital area and led him into a bedroom. The officer confirmed the price of the woman’s services, and then the officer told Prisilla that he was “policia” and said she was under arrest. After exposing his identity, there was a knock at the door and the detective unit entered the apartment and arrested Prisilla.
