The Boston University men’s basketball team looks to keep its season alive tonight against Morehead State University in the CBI quarterfinals at Case Gymnasium at 7 p.m.
The Terriers (20-13) advanced to the quarterfinals after demolishing Oregon State University, 96-78, in the opening round of the tournament Wednesday night. The Eagles of Morehead State (24-10) come to Case via a second-place regular-season finish in the Ohio Valley Conference and a 74-60 victory over Colorado State University in the first round of the CBI.
Morehead State lost to Murray State University in the Ohio Valley Tournament Championship game, 62-51. As a No. 13 seed in the NCAA Tournament, Murray State knocked off No. 4-seeded Vanderbilt University, 66-65, in the first round, and narrowly lost to No. 5-seeded Butler University, 54-52, in the second round.
The Eagles are led by 6-foot-8 forward Kenneth Faried, who averages 16.8 points per game and 13.1 rebounds per game.
