Former all-region midfielder and co-captain Samuel Appiah of the Boston University men’s soccer team has signed with the MLS’s Houston Dynamo, according to the team’s website.
In January’s 2010 MLS SuperDraft, the Dynamo &- winners of back-to-back MLS Cup championships in ’06 and ’07 &- drafted the 5-foot-8 native from Ghana in the third round.
Appiah started 72 games and played in 76 over his four-year collegiate career at BU, scoring 11 goals, dishing out 10 assists and racking up 32 points.
As a senior, Appiah led all BU midfielders with four goals and added five assists, culminating in his selection to the America East All-Conference First Team.
