After reading the comic about sorority girls and the artist’s satirical comparison of us to turkey, all I could do is laugh (‘Iggy and Rolf,’ Nov. 11, pg. 7).
I read this comic with some of my sorority sisters at a meeting, and most of us thought it to be humorous. People are allowed freedom of expression, and that is exactly what The Daily Free Press is all about: freedom.
If Rolf wants to express his views on sorority girls, he had just as much right to do so as other students have a right to complain about Silber and his policies.
I agree that if the comic was about any other women’s organization at BU, or any group for that matter, it would not have been published. But I can tell you one thing: there is no way that Rolf is going to get ‘stuffing’ from any sorority girl on campus. There goes that fantasy…
