I just had to write to the DFP (as well as the Boston Globe) to express my sincerest gratitude toward and appreciation for the BU students who helped stuck motorists during Friday’s storm. During the heaviest of the snow fall, I witnessed so many acts of kindness and generosity by BU students on the portion of Commonwealth Avenue between University Road and the BU Bridge.
For as much negative press that BU students in particular get/have been getting, from partying too much in Allston/Brighton to ruining local sports celebrations, I feel that the these individuals who were out in the snow pushing stuck cars deserve some credit for being the good citizens that they are.
I would also like to send a special “Thank you” to the 4 girls in the red BU jackets that helped push my car when it got stuck in the intersection at 3pm. A small act for you, but it meant the world to me. Thank you.
