In a news story Tuesday (“NC State resists concealed guns,” p. 1), it was incorrectly stated due to an editing error that the University of Utah took measures to allow students to carry concealed guns on campus. That decision was made by the Utah state legislature and has been resisted by the university in court.
In an editorial Tuesday (“Dear Mr. Chairman,” p. 4) a reference to former university interim President Aram Chobanian mischaracterized his presidency. Chobanian fully served out a term as interim president from 2003 to 2005, after the university terminated a contract with Daniel Goldin, whom the Board of Trustees had unanimously approved to become president.
