Yesterday’s showdown between the Boston University softball team and Providence College was postponed due to snowy weather that was expected to hit the Providence area.
The doubleheader, which was scheduled as the Friars’ home opener, will be moved to a later date.
This marks the second consecutive game cancellation for the Terrier softball team. Last weekend, the Terriers had to reschedule their home opener against Boston College after drainage problems on the newly finished Malvern Field made the field unplayable.
In addition, this weekend’s four-game series against the University of Maine may be moved to an off-campus location due to rain expected today.
A decision on the weekend’s pair of doubleheaders will come later in the week.
