BUPD received a report at 4:55 p.m. Jan. 11 from Boston Medical Center Security asking for assistance with a patient being discharged from the hospital at 760 Albany St. Boston Medical Center needed assistance with the patient because he was targeted by drug dealers during his stay at the hospital.
POSSIBLE SUICIDE
BUPD received a report at 12:06 a.m. Jan. 1 of a possibly suicidal female at the intersection of Newbury Street and Brookline Avenue. Officers responded to the scene to assist Boston Police in resolving the matter.
PEDESTRIAN HIT
BUPD received a report Jan. 3 of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle near the intersection of Winslow Street and Commonwealth Avenue. The victim was taken to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.
WRONG WAY
BUPD received a report at 3:13 a.m. Jan. 5 of two vehicles traveling the wrong way on Commonwealth Avenue near the Fuller Building. The vehicles were traveling at high speeds into oncoming traffic. BUPD officers managed to stop one of the vehicles.
DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
BUPD received a report at 11:19 a.m. Jan. 8 of drug paraphernalia found in Claflin Hall. BUPD reported the paraphernalia found was a pipe used for smoking marijuana found in a student’s room.
FOOT TRAFFIC
BUPD received a report at 8:37 a.m. Jan. 10 of a vehicle running over a construction worker’s foot outside Warren Towers. The victim was transported to Beth Israel Hospital.
ARMED SITUATION
BUPD received a report at 2:27 a.m. Dec. 25 of a group disturbance at the BU Medical Center. BUPD assisted BPD in restoring peace. A gunshot wound victim was dropped off at the emergency room.
TOO MUCH EGG NOG
BUPD received a report at 5:10 p.m. Dec. 25 of a verbal argument between two parties outside the Fuller Building. An officer responded and restored peace to the area, sending both parties on their way.
STEALING THE CITGO TIME
BUPD received a report at 7:37 a.m. Dec. 26 of a burglary alarm going off at the Citgo Sign at 660 Beacon St. BUPD responded to the scene but no one was visible on the roof.
HOCKEY INJURY
BUPD received a report at 7:24 p.m. Jan. 10 of a high school hockey player who separated his shoulder at the Case Center Gymnasium. The victim was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.
BROKEN LOCK
BUPD received a report at 8:03 a.m. Dec. 27 of a broken door lock discovered by facilities management at the Stone Science Building. Officers walked through the building and declared the premises secure.
STUCK IN AN ELEVATOR
BUPD received a report at 10:48 p.m. Dec. 28 of a party trapped in an elevator at 24 Cummington St. The party was freed from the elevator unit.
TRESPASSING
BUPD received a report at 3:46 a.m. Dec. 30 of a homeless man sleeping in the vestibule of 856 Beacon St. The party was found not to have any warrants and was removed and warned.
MEDICAL CENTER SECURITY
BUPD received a call at 8:50 a.m. Dec. 30 from Boston Medical Center Security requesting a BUPD officer on the scene at 850 Massachusetts Ave. The officer was dispatched to the Medical Center to run two parties for warrants.
POTTY TALK
BUPD received a report at 7:55 p.m. Dec. 31 of a disturbance in the men’s room at the Boston Playwright’s Theatre at 949 Commonwealth Ave. Officers arrived on the scene and restored peace.
WHERE’S THE FAIR?
A BUPD officer observed a cab with its emergency lights on at 1:59 a.m. Jan. 1 at 1098 Commonwealth Ave. The officer investigated the situation and learned the cabbie was involved in a case of fare evasion.
NOW YOU SEE HIM, NOW YOU DON’T
BUPD received a report at 5:29 p.m. Jan. 1 from a report of a male party standing on the BU Bridge staring at the Charles River. Officers responded to the scene but found no male party standing on either side of the bridge.
HOME ROBBERY
BUPD received a report at 7:44 p.m. Jan. 2 of a home invasion and robbery at 906 Beacon St. Officers dispatched to the scene assisted Boston and Brookline Police.
SCARED TO TOUCH
BUPD received a report at 1:45 p.m. Jan. 4 of a bag left near a doorway at 86 Mass. Ave. The manager did not want to touch it and requested assistance in removing the bag.
PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS
BUPD received a report at 2:16 p.m. Jan. 5 of two intoxicated parties outside 985 Commonwealth Ave. Officers warned and removed the parties.
POPCORN DRAMA
BUPD received a report at 11:13 p.m. Jan. 5 of a fire alarm set off at Agganis Arena. Officers determined a popcorn machine set off the fire alarm.
SEXUAL ASSAULT
BUPD received a report from Boston Medical Security at 3:03 a.m. Jan. 6 of a possible sexual assault at the Boston Medical Center. The reported sexual assault was between two patients in the hospital.
STRAY CHILDREN
BUPD received a report at 12:10 a.m. Jan. 8 of a group of three or four children running across Memorial Drive. Officers were dispatched to investigate.
CAR PILEUP
BUPD received a report at 6:19 p.m. Jan. 8 of a multiple-car accident at the intersection of Buick Street and Commonwealth Avenue. No injuries were reported in the four cars involved, but one airbag was deployed during the crash.
UNARMED ROBBERY
BUPD received a report at 5:18 a.m. Jan. 9 of an unarmed robbery at 70 East Newton St. BUPD and BPD officers determined the party was robbed by unarmed robbers.
ER BRAWL
BUPD received a report at 5:07 p.m. Jan. 9 of three female parties fighting in front of the emergency room entrance of Boston Medical Center. Officers arrived on the scene and talked to employees but saw no signs or evidence of a disturbance.
LEAVE ME ALONG!
BUPD received a report at 5:36 a.m. Jan. 10 from a manager reporting a party in his store was being harassed by another party at 957 Commonwealth Ave. After officers responded and spoke to both parties, they were removed from the building and warned.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
BUPD received a report at 10:50 a.m. Jan. 10 of possible domestic violence at 590 Commonwealth Ave. Officers responded and determined the violence was with the victim’s husband.
GIMME SHELTER
BUPD received a report at 2:08 a.m. Jan. 11 of a homeless party sleeping in the bus stop shelter at the intersection of Albany Street and Massachusetts Avenue. The party refused assistance, and an officer notified Pine Street Shelter.
GARBAGE DAY
BUPD received a report at 2:35 a.m. Jan. 11 of three parties throwing items from a vehicle in the parking lot of 732 Harrison Ave. Officers responded and checked the parties for warrants and removed them from the area.
