It’s time to address something that has been bothering me, because we all (including myself, at times) take it for granted. I was returning from class today to my luxurious Warren Towers suite, and once again the escalators were off and everyone returning from their 9:00 am had to walk. Why? Because B’G was scraping stickers off of the handrail. I’m going to surprise everyone here and not complain about B’G inconveniencing students yet again. Instead, I’m going to complain about the oh-so-creative activist that pasted dozens of “Women’s March on Washington” stickers onto the handrail which caused B’G to have to take them off. And while I’m at it, I’m going to go after the people that drop food on the floor in the lobby and walk away, tear up the tile from the bottom of the elevator, and just generally make it their business to make the place look as crappy as possible.
Folks, the people at B’G have things to do, and they don’t include cleaning up your mess.
Now if this is a problem at one dorm, I’m sure it’s a problem at others, too. There’s a very simple way to fix this, and it is as follows: clean up after yourself. If you can’t, then ask someone to help you. There are those people out there who get kicks from breaking the stuff we all pay for, so when you see them, make sure to make them feel really idiotic. Maybe they’ll stop.
