Other Service Request Type at 55 Brighton Ave.
At 11:16 p.m. on Aug. 25, a caller reported a potential “kidnap plan” and “multiple money lending notes” in the second floor trash room of their apartment to BUPD. Additionally, the money lending notes and the repayment date matched the ransom payment date. BPD was notified and a unit was dispatched.
Assist Other Police Agency at 540 Commonwealth Ave.
At 7:54 a.m. on Aug. 26, Boston PD announced that there was a “suspicious party with a possible knife” in Starbucks.
Protestors or Public Demonstrations at 735 Commonwealth Ave.
At 2:57 p.m. on Aug. 26, a caller reported protestors or public demonstrations.
For Unknown Alarm Signals at 755 Commonwealth Ave.
At 3:32 p.m. on Aug. 26, a panel experienced a loss of power alarm. BU Facilities Management & Operations were notified and checked the building. There was no report of power outage in the area.
For Any Calls Involving Animals at 900 Commonwealth Ave.
At 4:11 p.m. on Aug. 26, a caller reported a party selling puppies on the sidewalk approximately two hours prior to the call. The party was referred to Boston Animal Control and Animal Rescue League of Boston.
Past Assault and Battery at 10 Buick St.
At 5:04 p.m. on Aug. 26, a caller reported a possible past assault. According to the caller, the assault occurred between October 1, 2022 and October 1, 2023.
Larceny Over $1200 by Single Scheme at 275 Babcock St.
At 1:29 p.m. on Aug. 27, a party reported being scammed for larceny over $1200 by a single scheme between 12:16 p.m. and 1:29 p.m. Disposition of the case is active.
Larceny Under $1200 at 860 Beacon St.
At 5:06 p.m. on Aug. 27, a caller reported a larceny of under $1200 between Aug. 19 at 11:13 a.m. and Aug. 24 at 1:30 p.m.
Past Larceny at 46 Mountfort St.
At 9:18 p.m. on Aug. 27, a walk-in party reported past larceny of luggage from outside 46 Mountfort St. The BUPD report says the theft took place on Aug. 26 between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Ch
Assault at 700 Commonwealth Ave.
At 7:26 p.m. on Aug. 28, a caller reported that they were pushed by a fellow employee, which caused the caller to be concerned for their safety.
