In front of over 30,000 fans, Boston Legacy FC played their first ever game in the National Women’s Soccer League at Gillette Stadium on Saturday against the defending champions Gotham FC. While Boston Legacy suffered a 1-0 loss, the game set a new record for any inaugural match in the NWSL. The lone goal of the game was scored by Gotham forward Esther González.
