The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department crime logs from Oct. 22 to Oct. 28.
BU security guards chased a male party who had stolen something from the construction site at the intersection of East Dedham Street and Harrison Avenue at 12:50 a.m. Oct. 26. Boston Police arrested the party a short while after.
Almost, But Not Quite
BU security guards reported at 12:09 p.m. Oct. 22 a party possibly in possession of a firearm at 840 Harrison Ave. BUPD officers reported the party was actually carrying a cigarette lighter.
Flimsy Ambulance
A BUPD officer observed at 1:15 a.m. Oct. 28 several parties carrying an unconscious male party out of a taxicab at 1 Buswell St. A check on the party indicated he was unresponsive to painful stimuli. The victim was also in possession of false identification. The victim was then transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and issued a judicial referral.
Gratuity Not Included
BUPD received a report at 1:54 a.m. Oct. 22 of a cab driver who claimed a student did not pay his fare at 580 Commonwealth Ave. A BUPD officer reported the fare evader was intoxicated. He was transported to Beth Israel Hospital and issued a judicial referral.
Sidewalk Sideshow
BUPD received a report at 1:07 a.m. Oct. 22 of an intoxicated female on the sidewalk outside of 675 Commonwealth Ave. The victim was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital and issued a judicial referral.
Busted
An Office of Residence Life staff member reported a party in possession of drug paraphernalia at Sleeper Hall in West Campus at 10:47 p.m. Oct. 28. The party was issued a judicial referral and will be summoned to court facing charges of possession of a class D substance.
Warrant Arrest
BUPD officers were sent at 9:01 a.m. Oct. 22 to locate a party suspected of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon the previous day at Sleeper Hall. The suspect was located and placed under arrest.
A Little Captain in Him
A BUPD officer observed a male party at 11:28 p.m. Oct. 27 drinking from a metal flask at the Track and Tennis Center. The party, who was drinking rum, was determined to be underage and was issued a summons to Brighton District Court.
Fight!
BUPD officers responded at 1:42 a.m. Oct. 28 to a call of a fight by a witness who observed a male party strike another man, breaking his nose, at 448 Park Dr. BUPD officers placed the assailant under arrest for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and resisting arrest.
Dirty Laundry
BUPD received a report at 2:27 p.m. Oct. 22 of a party who had several items of clothing stolen at 193 Bay State Rd. The case is still under investigation.
Lost Property
BUPD received a report at 2:03 p.m. Oct. 25 of a bag on the street by the stairs on Blandford Street. A BUPD officer reported the bag is lost property and the owner was notified of its retrieval.
Last Warning
A BUPD officer reported at 5:36 a.m. Oct. 26 a female party sleeping in the building at 725 Commonwealth Ave. The BUPD officer reported the party had been previously warned to leave the property. The party was placed under arrest for trespassing.
Car Accident
BUPD received a report at 9:58 a.m. Oct. 27 of a BU Dining Services truck involved in a minor car accident at the George Sherman Union. No injuries were reported and the parties involved in the accident exchanged paperwork.
Vandalism
Brookline Police received a report at 10:48 p.m. Oct. 27 of smashed glass doors at a building at 940 Commonwealth Ave. The building was checked and Facilities Management secured the door.
