The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department crime logs from Nov. 5 to Nov. 11.
BUPD officers were flagged down at 5:43 p.m. Nov. 9 to unlock a vehicle with three children inside at 29 Brighton Ave. The officer was able to free the children.
Attempted Robbery
BUPD received a report at 3:04 p.m. Nov. 7 of someone attempting to steal a motor scooter at 582 Commonwealth Ave. During the attempted theft, the party damaged the ignition and front wheel of the scooter.
Out of All the Cars to Hit . . .
A BUPD officer reported at 5:09 p.m. Nov. 11 a bicyclist rode into the officer’s police cruiser at the intersection of Armory Street and Commonwealth Avenue. The victim was transported to Beth Israel Hospital.
BUPD Officer Injury
A BUPD bike officer at 8:02 a.m. Nov. 7 was involved in an accident at the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and St. Mary’s Street. The officer was transported to Boston Medical Center.
I Think You Missed the Toilet
A BUPD officer reported at 12:28 a.m. Nov. 5 an intoxicated female party vomiting on the sidewalk in front of 62 Bay State Rd. The victim was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital a short while after.
Where There’s Smoke, There’s Fire
BUPD received a report at 12:55 a.m. Nov. 5 of a group of people smoking marijuana in the alleyway behind Myles Standish Hall, with smoke coming in through the windows of the building. Officers reported the parties were gone prior to their arrival.
Duck and Run
BU Security requested at 2:00 a.m. Nov. 5 a BUPD officer for assistance with a party attempting to sneak another party into the building at Claflin Hall in West Campus. BUPD officers reported the Office of Residence Life will handle the situation.
Asthma Attack
BUPD officers at 2:03 a.m. Nov. 5 attempted to clear partygoers from the area at 64 Bay State Rd. Officers reported a party was having an asthma attack. The party was transported to the hospital soon after.
Emergency Room Disturbance
BU Medical Center Security reported at 3:25 a.m. Nov. 5 a trauma victim’s family was causing a disturbance in the emergency room at 80 East Concord St. Officers reported the situation calmed down upon their arrival.
Caught Red-Scented
A BUPD officer at 1:17 a.m. Nov. 6 observed three suspicious parties sitting on a bench on the Esplanade. As the officer approached the parties, he smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from them. The parties were issued a court summons.
Drunk Sickness
A Residence Assistant reported at 12:47 a.m. Nov. 7 a male student vomiting on the ninth floor of Danielsen Hall. The victim was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital and issued a judicial referral.
No Domo Arigato
BUPD received a report at 3:27 p.m. Nov. 7 from a store manager who stopped two men at the George Sherman Union. The men stole a tray of sushi from the food court.
You Can Run, But You Can’t Hide At 10:50 a.m. Nov. 8, a BUPD sergeant at the intersections of Mountfort and Carleton streets stopped a vehicle wanted by Boston Police for a hit-and-run and property damage. Boston Police arrived on the scene to handle the situation.
Curious George
BUPD received a report at 9:44 a.m. Nov. 9 from a caller who found a party going through a wallet at the University Service Center. Officers located the party and reported the party had a default warrant. The party was placed under arrest and transported to the station for booking.
Procuring for Underage
BUPD officers reported at 10:20 p.m. Nov. 10 two parties exchanging alcohol at 52 Buswell St. Officers summonsed both parties, including charges of procuring alcohol for a minor and minor in possession.
Entourage Difficulty
BU Medical Center Security reported at 10:51 p.m. Nov. 10 problems with a patient who had been stabbed at 771 Albany St. The group that came with the patient was causing a disturbance.
Basement Gremlin
A BUPD officer reported at 11:56 a.m. Nov. 11 a suspicious party in the basement of the College of Arts and Sciences. The officer reported the party had an outstanding warrant for a probation violation. The party was transported back to the station for booking.
