The four Boston University men’s hockey players who were suspended last Wednesday for violating team rules will return to the lineup Dec. 30 against Merrimack College, coach Jack Parker announced this afternoon.
Seniors Bryan Ewing, Dan McGoff and Brian McGuirk and junior Brandon Yip returned to practice Monday after missing last Friday’s 4-3 loss to the University of Massachusetts-Lowell and Saturday’s 3-2 exhibition win over the United States National Under-18 Team.
Ewing is tied for the team lead in points (17) with senior forward Pete MacArthur, who was named BU’s new captain last week in light of McGuirk’s suspension. Parker also appointed senior forward Ryan Weston and junior defenseman Matt Gilroy as assistant captains.
