The fate of Kate

Katie Couric is playing coy among a myriad of rumors circulating about the anchor’s fate with CBS Evening News. While promoting her new book, she’s been asked by the likes of Barbara Walters and even her ex-co-host Matt Lauer to confirm the gossip: Is Katie leaving her gig at CBS? Currently on a book tour, Couric has also signed onto a documentary about obesity. While no confirmation about her fate as an anchor has surfaced, some of the rumors for her future include hosting a syndicated talk show, a return to magazine journalism.

Fey is forty, and she’s still got it
Have you missed Tina Fey on SNL? Well set your DVRs (or schedules) for May 7th, because the comedy queen will be returning to her old haunt. This announcement comes in the wake of her new book release as well as her exciting proclamation on the Oprah Winfrey Show sharing with the world that she’s now pregnant with her second child. While we can’t be sure what old roles will be reprised on screen (although I’m sure we’d all like to see a little more Palin) I’m excited to see both Fey and the baby bump this May.
Attention King George VI fans!
Can’t get enough of The King’s Speech? Look no further, Discovery Channel has a new documentary airing this Saturday at 7 p.m. entitled The Real King’s Speech, offering an in depth look into the real techniques and methods of Lionel Logue, King George VI’s speech therapist. Combining archival footage, actual recorded speeches from the King himself, and interviews with experts and former patients of Logue, the special should offer new insight into the incredible story that inspired the Oscar-winning film.
Scandal be damned, your show got the axe anyway
Despite the salacious pre-show scandal involving the Salahi couple (in case you missed it, they were the ones who snuck into a White House dinner without being on the guest list. Feel free to gasp audibly), Bravo’s Real Housewives of D.C. will be back for a second season. The fifth series in the franchise of “Real Housewives” did poorly in the ratings, especially when compared to its forerunners (Orange County, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, Beverly Hills). The newest addition, in Miami has been seeing terrible ratings as well but no word yet on the fate of the newest addition to the Housewives lineup.
Can’t get enough Jersey Shore?
As if knowing the upcoming season was going to take place in Italy wasn’t enough, two more shows featuring Shore cast members will be airing on MTV this fall. Snooki & JWoww have teamed up and another series following the times and trials of Pauly D is in the works as well. But as all three of these shows will be airing in quick succession (perhaps even overlapping) will audiences be sick of the shore? Maybe no one will watch, and maybe this overdose will be the death of this seemingly never-ending franchise. Only time will tell, but a girl can dream, no?

  1. Having UPS as our freight company your freight time will be extremely quick. Our 24 hour turnaround promise is not some thing that we take frivolously, it really happens. The device shows up at our store, we repair it, and it normally ships back out that day, but without exception ships back out within 24 hours (sometimes longer for h2o damage).
