A 16-year-old boy who allegedly shot another juvenile near the Allston Burger King Thursday night turned himself into Boston Police on Saturday, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
The alleged shooter, whose name was not released by authorities, faces charges including assault with intent to murder and carrying a gun without a license, police said.
The shooting occurred about 6:46 p.m. Thursday in the area of 222 Brighton Ave., where officers responded to a report of a person shot, according to a police report.
Police found the victim wounded near 10 Allston St., said BPD spokesperson Sergeant Detective John Boyle.
The suspect fled the scene and was wanted on a warrant issued from the Boston Juvenile Court. He surrendered at about 9:40 p.m. at a police station in Allston-Brighton Saturday, Boston police wrote in a statement.
The victim was walking on Brighton Avenue with someone else when the two encountered the suspect and became involved in a verbal argument, police wrote in the report.
The witness told police she saw the suspect in a maroon hoodie and “clutching his waistband” but did not see the shooting, according to the report.
A detective recovered a spent shell casing on the sidewalk in front of 10 Allston St. as well as a fired projectile on the road under a truck.
The alleged shooter is expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court, police reported.
