Give a little, take a little
On Sept. 6 at 11:30 a.m. BUPD officers spotted two non-affiliate males at 704 Comm. Ave. who they thought looked suspicious. The two males were attempting to steal bicycles from the bike racks behind the building. After investigation, officers recovered four bikes from the two men that they believed had been stolen. Three of the four were returned to students who had reported stolen bikes that day.
Hookah and computah
A student reported at 1:20 p.m. on Sept. 6 that an apartment on 14 Buswell St. had been broken into. The student told BUPD that both a computer and a water pipe were stolen from the apartment. The unarmed burglar entered the locked apartment through a kitchen door attached to a common hallway. The items have not been returned, but they will continue to investigate the incident.
Most unwanted Skyper
On Sept. 7 at 9 a.m. several students reported receiving unwanted, sexual Skype messages from an unknown person. About nine students living in Student Village II reported receiving similar Skype messages from whom they assume to be the same person. All nine students are female student athletes. The messages are under investigation.
iSteal, uTerminate
On Sept. 7 at 10:40 p.m. a non-affiliate notified BUPD that his iPhone and wallet were both stolen from the Agganis Arena office at 925 Comm. Ave. BUPD identified the suspect as a temporary worker from the dining services department. The male also stole an iPod from a woman in the office. All three items were returned to their owners, and the worker has been terminated. Charges are pending.
S— Happens
On Sept. 10 at 4:20 p.m. three female students living at 273 Babcock St. reported to police that they found feces in their closet. The students suspect that somebody entered the apartment and defecated in the closet, ruining several pairs of shoes. The students also believe that the feces had something to do with a BU fraternity that may be rushing. The feces were cleaned up, and the case is under investigation. The room’s locks have been changed.
