Robert Brown
Brown is the president of Boston University, and he is responsible for making important decisions for the school. He is a member of the university’s Board of Trustees, which is a group of notable alumni and distinguished individuals who oversee university operations. You’ll likely get a few emails from Brown during the year regarding safety and other important campus happenings. You might even spot Brown strolling down Commonwealth Avenue.
Kenneth Elmore
Elmore oversees students on campus as BU’s dean of students and associate provost. He can be spotted at various student activities and is always open to chat. You can request to meet with Elmore as a representative of a student group if you want his support and guidance.
Katherine Cornetta
As assistant to the dean of students, Cornetta works closely with Elmore. She manages appointments with Elmore and other student requests. Since Cornetta is an administrator in the BU class Facebook pages, she probably knows you’re looking for a roommate and you’re excited for college.
SaraAnn Kurkul
Kurkul is the recently elected executive president of BU’s Student Government. She has a strong voice in passing initiatives on campus and pushing for changes within the university. Her experience on e-board last semester will help her as she works towards her ambitious goals.
Kelly Nee
Nee is the newly appointed chief of the BU Police Department. In fact, Nee became the department’s first female chief when she took over in May. She is responsible for maintaining the safety of the BU community on campus.
College Deans
Familiarize yourself with your school’s dean, as he or she is in charge of your school’s curriculum and programs. Deans can provide you with guidance in your educational career here at BU. Many of them also teach some higher-level classes, so you could end up having one as a professor.
