While Michelle Wu, Annissa Essaibi-George and Michael Flaherty were all reelected, the winner of the fourth councilor at-large seat remains to be seen, as candidates Julia Mejia and Alejandra St. Guillen were separated by only 10 votes.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5. There, voters will pick the winners of all 13 city council seats -- 9 district seats and 4 city councilor at-large seats.
The eight remaining candidates for city councilor at-large gathered to debate various issues facing the City of Boston, including transportation, addiction, housing, and education.
All but one of the at-large candidates for Boston’s City Council convened at the Boston Public Library Wednesday night for a forum in which city residents pressed the contenders on their stances on energy and environmental issues.

Since nomination applications opened two weeks ago, more than 50 Boston residents have applied to become candidates in the 2019 Boston City Council elections, according to WBUR, hoping to be chosen by voters to fill one of 13 open seats in November.
