The Boston University ResLife Union began its strike Aug. 31, as students began moving into residence halls for the fall semester. The first day of undergraduate move-in was Aug. 28.

At this week's meeting, Boston University’s Student Government endorsed the ResLife Union’s strike, agreed to promote an event at the Pardee Center and talked about preparations for BU’s “Vote!” Day.
The Boston University Graduate Workers Union held their first strike rally at noon today in Marsh Plaza, which attracted support from undergraduate students, local politicians, and professors.
An RA signed her contract for the following year. Then, she was fired. Guensly Desir was all set to RA for the 2023-24 academic year. That was until she got fired less than a week before the semester started due to the enforcement of a GPA policy.
