Cloud 9 Megan Moroney Album

The life and loves of an emo cowgirl: A review of Megan Moroney’s latest album

By Ava Malamut, Lifestyle Editor February 25, 2026
Missing your Barbie era? In need of some sad girl songs with a little twang? Want lyrics to make you feel introspective? Look no further than Megan Moroney’s latest album, “Cloud 9.” The 28-year-old Georgia-native channeled her Barbie look into an all-pink aesthetic for her third album, succeeding the royal blue aesthetic of “Am I Okay?” in 2024 and green of “Lucky” in 2023.
‘Son of Spergy’ album review: A focus on the individual over the collective

‘Son of Spergy’ album review: A focus on the individual over the collective

By Jonah Foster October 29, 2025
Canadian artist Daniel Caesar dropped his fourth studio album, “Son of Spergy,” — coined after his father’s nickname “Spergy” — on Friday following a series of free concerts promoting it. A few years after the success of his last project, Caesar has quietly kept busy, leaving his mark through collaborations and other releases. In 2024, he worked on parts of “Chromakopia” by Tyler, the Creator, and earlier this year, Caesar dropped two singles with Rex Orange County.
With ‘The Life of a Showgirl,’ Taylor Swift’s music is danceable again

With ‘The Life of a Showgirl,’ Taylor Swift’s music is danceable again

By Ava Wiseley, Contributing Writer October 5, 2025
Back in August, Taylor Swift joined her then-boyfriend — now-fiancé — Travis Kelce on his New Heights podcast to announce her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl.” The record hit streaming services and store shelves on Friday. While not a particularly innovative or poetic work in the singer’s catalogue, “The Life of a Showgirl” is an improvement on her recent pop sound. And Swift’s music is danceable again.

Kacey Musgraves’ ‘Deeper Well’ speaks to the college experience

By Olivia Stapleton April 23, 2024
I spent all of high school looking forward to college, and time is now going by too fast, which is leaving me fearful that I might not soak up every second of it. Although at a different point in her life, Musgraves understands that feeling. “Deeper Well” takes listeners on a 14-track journey of acceptance, and each song made me feel more seen by a musical artist than ever before.

Adrianne Lenker’s ‘Bright Future’ is folk-rock fantasia

By Nicholas Nebiolo April 9, 2024
I’ve been following the band Big Thief ever since the release of their fifth album back in February 2022. When I saw that their frontwoman, Adrianne Lenker, had her own extensive discography, I had to check her out. Upon listening to her various singles and albums, I ended up finding who I consider to be one of the best living songwriters out there. In honor of her greatness, I’ll be reviewing her sixth studio album, which was released late last month, “Bright Future.”
