Mayor Michelle Wu hosted the first-ever State of the Schools address Tuesday night, sharing the Boston Public Schools’ achievements and future ambitions amid underperforming test scores and major education funding cuts by the Trump administration.

Boston launches legal aid program for families facing eviction

Mayor Michelle Wu announced a new initiative Jan. 23 to protect families with children in the Boston Public School system facing eviction. The initiative, the Access to Counsel Pilot Program, will provide eligible families with emergency rental assistance, legal representation and housing search services.
